those girls wanting more signatures on their Brownie shirts, please bring the shirts
to our May 16th meeting. The markers will be there to get missing
signatures.

The Faculty
of Engineering of the University of Ottawa, in collaboration with the Ontario
Network of Women in Engineering (ONWiE), is offering Engineering Badge Days at
University campuses across the province. Girls will get a chance to visit our
faculty and meet with female mentors while learning first-hand about
engineering careers. They will also take part in hands-on activities to earn
the Girl Guides Science and Technology Engineering Badge. Girls and
guiders will leave with new skills, knowledge and inspiration about the world
of engineering.
The event
will be held at the University of Ottawa on Saturday May 25th at SITE building, 800 Kind Edward Avenue, Ottawa.
Here is a
preliminary schedule of the day’s activities
9:45 a.m.
Arrival and Welcome

11:30 a.m.
Lunch
12:30 p.m.

15:00 p.m.
Departure
There is no
charge to attend the activity. We only ask the girls to bring their lunch
for the day. If you are interested, please let us know by May 16.
